WELDING
ENGINEER
This high visibility position is responsible for
developing welding techniques and processes for ferrous metals,
developing weld and tack fixtures, developing new welding equipment
in conjunction with the optimization of welding techniques, supporting
facility modernization and equipment purchase decisions, and assisting
manufacturing operations with fabrication challenges. The successful
candidate will be in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent
communication, analytical, organizational skills, along with a
strong sense of personal accountability.
This position requires a Bachelor's degress in
Welding Technology, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering and
experience within a MIG and flux-cored production welding enviroment.
Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints, have
a working knowledge of oxy-acetylene and plasma burning processes,
be able to work efficiently in a production environment, and have
a solid working knowledge of related engineering computer software
programs. Experience in the steel fabrication, nuclear, and/or
shipbuilding industries is a plus. New Graduates will be considered.
